Next Spin Saturday is on On May 31 and I’m taking us on a musical journey that’s all about the foundation — the grooves that shaped genres and moved generations. From early hip hop (Afrika Bambaataa, Soul Makossa) to reggae, afrobeats, classic hip hop, and anything else that stirs your soul — plus, your song requests, of course.
Music’s been my lifelong companion, teacher, and co-conspirator. Sharing tracks with deep cultural roots is something I do with a ton of love and respect — not just for the sound, but for the people, stories, and history behind it all.
The past couple of Spin Saturdays have lit me up in new ways — thanks to you. The feedback, the dancing, the energy? All part of the magic that keeps me learning and growing, even after 30+ years of serving music to party-goers.
The Irish Rose Pub has become a bit of a second home — a spot full of kind humans who just want to vibe and make the night a good one. I’m lucky to have this space to keep learning and keep the music flowing.
